vivo X300 Pro Battery Life: Real SOT & 90W Charging Tests

Real-world battery drain logs and 90W FlashCharge tests for the 6510 mAh vivo X300 Pro.

Battery anxiety is a real issue for entrepreneurs and power users. When I saw the vivo X300 Pro spec sheet boasting a massive 6510 mAh silicon-carbon battery, I knew I had to test it rigorously. The silicon-carbon battery technology allows significantly higher energy density than traditional graphite, which is why this phone stays incredibly thin.

Unlike synthetic battery benchmarks that loop video until the phone dies, I track my actual daily usage, Screen-On Time (SOT), and charging speeds. Here are my raw, real-world vivo X300 Pro battery drain test logs.

The combination of the massive capacity, the LTPO display, and the highly efficient Dimensity 9500 chip makes this the longest-lasting flagship I have ever used.

The “Heavy Camera” Day

On days when I am out shooting for my portfolio, the phone is constantly working.

  • Usage Profile: 3 hours of outdoor photography (high brightness), 1.5 hours of Google Maps GPS navigation, Spotify streaming over 5G, and editing RAW files in Lightroom Mobile.
  • Total Screen-On Time: 8 hours and 45 minutes.
  • End of Day Percentage: I went to bed at 11:30 PM with 18% battery remaining.

The “Light Office” Day

On a standard workday connected to Wi-Fi.

  • Usage Profile: Slack, email, scrolling X and LinkedIn, a few YouTube videos, and light messaging.
  • Total Screen-On Time: 11 hours and 15 minutes.
  • End of Day Percentage: The phone easily pushed into a second full day, hitting the charger on the second night with 12% remaining.

Having a massive battery is great, but filling 6510 mAh takes time. Thankfully, vivo includes a 90W FlashCharge brick in the box. Here is exactly how fast it charges from a dead battery to 100%:

  • 0% to 50%: 19 minutes
  • 50% to 80%: 15 minutes
  • 80% to 100%: 12 minutes
  • Total Time (0 to 100%): 46 minutes.

Note: The phone gets noticeably warm during the 0-50% sprint, peaking at around 39°C near the camera module, but it aggressively throttles the charging speed and cools down as it approaches 80% to preserve battery health.

Wireless Charging

The vivo X300 Pro supports 40W wireless charging. Using vivo’s proprietary wireless stand, I can charge the phone from 20% to 100% in just under an hour while I work at my desk. It is incredibly convenient and generates less heat than I expected.

Standby Drain & Quirks

One of the best aspects of OriginOS 6 is its background task management.

  • Overnight Drain: Over an 8-hour sleep period with Wi-Fi on, Bluetooth connected to my smartwatch, and background sync enabled, the phone loses exactly 2% to 3%.
  • App Quirks: I did notice that Facebook and certain location-based apps were trying to constantly ping in the background during my first week. I fixed this by restricting their background battery usage in the settings. For exactly how to fix this, read my First Day Setup Guide.
