I don’t run synthetic benchmarks like AnTuTu or Geekbench on this site because they don’t reflect daily use. Nobody buys a phone to watch a benchmark app load. Instead, here is how the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 inside the vivo X300 Pro handles real tasks, multitasking, and heat dissipation.
Daily Tasks & Multitasking
For years, I preferred Snapdragon processors for their perceived long-term reliability. The Dimensity 9500 has proven me wrong.
The vivo X300 Pro absolutely flies through daily tasks.
- App Switching: Moving between heavy apps like Lightroom Mobile, the Camera, Chrome (with 30+ tabs open), and Google Maps is instantaneous. There is no micro-stutter when swiping up to go home.
- Memory Management: With ample RAM, the phone keeps apps alive in the background remarkably well. I can leave a half-written email, browse X for 20 minutes, take some photos, and return to my email exactly where I left off without the app reloading.
Gaming & Heavy Load
While I primarily use my phone for running my business and taking photos, I do play games during my downtime.
- vivo X300 Pro gaming performance: I test this using Genshin Impact on High settings at 60fps. The Dimensity 9500 maintains a remarkably stable frame rate during 30-minute sessions. I noticed very few dropped frames, even during intense combat sequences with heavy particle effects.
- vivo X300 Pro Lightroom performance: Exporting a batch of 50 RAW, high-resolution 200MP photos with heavy masking applied takes significantly less time than on my previous flagship. The CPU crunches through image processing effortlessly.
Thermal Performance (Heat Management)
Performance is useless if the phone gets too hot to hold and throttles down.
- Camera Heat: Recording 4K 60fps video for 15 minutes warms up the area around the camera module, but the frame rail remains comfortable to hold. Crucially, the camera app does not lag or force close when the phone gets warm, a problem I’ve faced on other devices.
- Gaming Heat: During sustained gaming, the phone disperses heat evenly across the back panel thanks to its massive vapor chamber cooling system. It gets warm, but never “dangerously hot.”
