- The Camera: The jump to the 200MP APO telephoto lens is significant if you shoot beyond 5x zoom. The X200 Pro is still phenomenal, but the micro-contrast on the X300 Pro’s telephoto is visibly superior.
- The Battery: The move to the 6510 mAh silicon-carbon battery is a game-changer. The X200 Pro had good battery life, but the X300 Pro is a true two-day phone for me.
- Verdict: If you are a casual shooter, keep the X200 Pro. If you shoot portraits, street photography, or need multi-day battery, the upgrade is worth it.
vivo X300 Pro vs Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra
This is the classic clash of the titans.
- The Telephoto: Samsung’s dual telephoto setup is incredibly versatile, but vivo’s single 200MP APO sensor captures more natural detail at the crucial 3x to 10x range, which I use for portraits. Samsung still wins at 50x+ digital zoom for taking pictures of the moon, but vivo wins the focal lengths that matter for humans.
- Software: OneUI is undeniably more polished for Western markets than OriginOS. The S-Pen is also a unique advantage if you edit photos with a stylus. However, vivo’s shutter speed captures moving subjects significantly better than Samsung’s notorious shutter lag.
- Verdict: Buy the Samsung for productivity and software ecosystem. Buy the vivo for raw photography, capturing moving subjects, and superior battery life.
vivo X300 Pro vs OPPO Find X9 Pro
These two are fierce competitors in the Chinese market.
- Color Science: This comes down to ZEISS vs Hasselblad. OPPO’s Hasselblad tuning produces warmer, slightly more dramatic contrast that looks incredibly cinematic out of the box. vivo’s ZEISS Natural profile is flatter and more true-to-life, which I prefer because it gives me a better starting point for editing in Lightroom.
- Ergonomics: The OPPO Find X9 Pro is generally considered to have a more balanced weight distribution, whereas the massive camera bump on the vivo makes it slightly top-heavy.
- Verdict: It is a toss-up. If you want punchy, dramatic photos out of the box, get the OPPO. If you want a massive battery and clinical color accuracy for editing, get the vivo.
